About Trigonometry
Let's discuss about what exactly Trigonometry is?
Trigonometry Origin: Trigonometry has been taken from Greek trigōnon, meaning "triangle" and metron, meaning "measure".
Hence Trigonometry can be defined as It is a branch of mathematics that studies relationships between side lengths and angles of triangles.
Remark: Trigonometric Identities are used if Triangle is Right Angle(One Angle must be 90 degree.). If not then first convert it into Right Angle Triangle then apply trigonometric Identities.
Let's see here...
Fig.2 |
In Fig.2 We are taking Angle <A (Angle A), so just opposite of the Angle <A is called Perpendicular or Opposite Side.
Base is also called Adjacent Side.
See here same concept....
Note: If We take β as Angle then sinβ , cosβ , tanβ etc. then all will be different, Because their Adjacent Side and Opposite Side are different.
